Words cannot express how grateful I am to Gordon Fletcher Funeral Directors and our funeral director Lesley Dodd, for the kindness, compassion and exceptional care they showed my Lovely mam and our family during one of the most heartbreaking times of our lives.

I would particularly like to express my heartfelt thanks to our funeral director, Lesley Dodd, who is an absolute credit to her profession. Lesley’s warmth, kindness, professionalism and genuine compassion meant more to me than words can say. I am deeply grateful for the time she spent with us, her patience and understanding, and, most importantly, the exceptional care she took of my precious mam. Knowing that Mam was being treated with such dignity, tenderness and respect brought me enormous comfort during such a difficult time.

Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and Lesley made us feel that Mam was just as important to her as she was to us. That personal touch and genuine kindness will stay with me forever.

Every detail of Mam’s funeral was handled beautifully, allowing us to give her the dignified, loving and special farewell she so deserved.

Losing my mam has been incredibly painful, but I will always be thankful to Lesley and everyone at Gordon Fletcher Funeral Directors for making such a difficult journey a little easier to bear.

Thank you, Lesley, from the bottom of our hearts, for everything you did for my mam and our family. Your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten.

I cannot thank Laura Parks enough for the beautiful and heartfelt service she conducted for my late mam, Pearl Bell, alongside Gordon Fletcher Funeral Directors. Laura was so kind, caring and compassionate, capturing Mam’s life, personality and precious memories perfectly by reading my Tribute to my mam . Together, Laura and Gordon Fletcher Funeral Directors made such a difficult day feel incredibly special, giving Mam the dignified and loving farewell she truly deserved. The team were all amazing, very clear and communication was outstanding. They made the process for myself and my family as easy as it possibly could be. We were given all information needed and the team had a very compassionate approach. Michael was brilliant helping arrange the funeral and keeping in touch in the weeks leading up and Adam ran the service on the day perfectly. The day went all as planned and I believe it was the teamwork and gratitude from all at Fletchers. We will always remember the way Fletchers made a very difficult time that little bit easier for us. The embalming was done perfectly and my dad was taken care of with a very high standard.

Cannot fault these at all. Absolutely great from start to finish! Michael has been absolutely brilliant from the home visit to arrange my dad’s funeral, all the way up until the day. Adam was brilliant on the day and we couldn’t thank him annd the team enough for the respect and professionalism shown towards my dad & the family. They worked around us and answered any questions we had. Tried to make the whole situation as stress free as they could! What a brilliant send off for my dad.

From the moment we contacted Gordon Fletcher & Sons, we knew my late uncle’s care and funeral were in very good hands. Adam was truly exceptional — we have nothing but praise for his compassion, professionalism, and thoughtfulness.
We went through a very difficult and prolonged period trying to get my uncle’s death certificate processed by the hospital, and Adam was incredibly supportive throughout. Despite it not strictly being part of his role, he went above and beyond to help us navigate the situation, which meant a great deal to our family.
The Chapel of Rest is beautiful and welcoming, offering comfort during such a sad time. Adam kept us informed every step of the way and ensured that everything ran as smoothly as possible on the day of the funeral. It was faultless and went perfectly.
Adam played a pivotal role in making my uncle’s funeral as special as it was. As a family, we will always be grateful for everything he did for us, and in future we wouldn’t consider going anywhere else.
